We have been taking Rohan to Kabuki, an inexpensive japanese sushi place at the time, since he was a month old.
We have a little portable hookon chair he really loves. He feels more included since he is at eye level with us and he loves to see what's on the table. You just have to keep the soy sauce bottle away from him.
It become our new hangout because its family friendly and because after not having sushi when I was pregnant, I really went thru a phase after I had the baby.
We even joked that when Rohan starts eating he is going to think that all food came in neat little packages wrapped in seaweed. Lol
They all love him there but one waitress, Yuli, we have been seeing since we have been going, is crazy about our little guy and he loves her. She always has a big sunny smile for him and he laughs and smiles when he sees her. :)
Funny story! Last Friday night, we took Rohan with us, but for the 1st time we ordered him an avocado roll, instead of feeding him baby food or food from home.
Our Ro took one look at that little plate of sushi just for him, grab a big roll and shoved the whole thing in his mouth. He mouth was so full, he couldn't chew.
I tried to fish it out of his mouth but all I could grab hold of was 1 long long strip of green seaweed wrap that I pulled and pulled at.
We were laughing so hard cause Rohan seemed a little outraged that I dare disturb his sushi time. He kept turning his head away because he wanted to eat his giant avocado roll in peace.
He ate all 6 pieces and was laughing with happiness the whole time.
I guess after watching mom and dad week after week, he felt like he was in the big leagues!
