Curious Rohan's B-day party!

We held a 1st b-day party for Rohan on his uncle B's birthday. The theme was Curious George. We choose Curious George because Ro is so similar to curious george nowadays... he getting into everything, since he can walk now, and is really exploring his world!

We had 6 babies total. Rohan, of course, his friend Anjali (1yr)(with satish and monica). We had 2 kids from his daycare, Harrison (18 mths) (with Peggi and michael) and Kai (20mths)(with his parents Darci and dh). And finally from my work, Kala (10 mths)(with Hilery and Steve) and Avery (6 mths)(with Som and Marisol).
Also present but not able to play, Baby Iyer (16 weeks pregnant)(with Ram and Purna). hehehe
Of course, Kym was there and Anu K. dropped by in the end.

We decorated with red and white streamers and got red, blue, yellow and a few green balloons. We tied them in bunches, reminiscent of the balloons in the movie that George holds on to flying over NY.

I made a sign from CG movie that had George sitting on a pile of food eating and I labeled it 'Little Monkeys Treat Station' and put it above a little kiddie treats table.

On the table we put cg party hats, cg fruit snacks in small packets, packs of finger puffs, 3 suction cupped munchkin bowls with colorful vanilla wafers, cheerios and wrapped baby biter biscuits.

Also we added a bottle of Pear juice and labled it 'George's Jungle Juice'.

It looked very cute!

We put it up on the counter until the kids arrived. When they were all in the play area we set the table down and the kids went crazy! They all stood hovering around the table, the way adults do at cocktail parties! But there was a lot less chit chat and much more face stuffing going on! :D

Eventually, all the kids went to play with the toys except for 1 kid... Rohan, the birthday boy. :) He just wouldn't leave the treat table and be a gracious host.

Even when we called him, he just stood there eating cheerios with both hands and making a totally mess! hehehe

Occasionally, he would look up, smile and offer us a cheerio or 2. I know he was thinking 'Wow! They never let me just have everything like this!! I better take advantage of it!" Lol.

We were dying of laughter, but after another 5 minutes or so, we had to take the tray (table) and put it on the counter above. Rohan just couldn't be social with it around.

We also got a curious george pinata (I didn't know they even made them!) and I filled it with squishy bath toys, cg bubble bottles, and kit kats.
We gave out Curious G goodybags, in them we put George hackysacks, stickers and playdoh, they filled them with the treats from the pinata.

We had quite the baby traffic jam with all the babies running/crawling around and playing with toys plus all the adults sitting on the floor blowing bubbles overhead in Rohan's tiny play area!

Afterwards we cut the cake, it was a paradise cake from King's bakery, that had Curious George and palm trees on it. Its was very lite and yummy!

Rohan blew out his 1 year candle and had a piece of cake. It was a really fun day!!
