Rohan is almost 4 yrs old and is deep into his montessori preschool that he started Jan 4.
Right now Rohan is in the younger class (2- 3 1/2) so they are mostly doing the Practical Life and Sensorial work.
Its suppose to teach patience, number one, and also independence and confidence.
They teach manners (grace and courtesy) under practical life, in little exercises, I think that's pretty cool. Maybe he'll understand it better with a bunch of kids doing it, and coming from someone other than me! :D
Then, in the older class (3 1/2 -5), which he will start in ~3 months, they do more language and mathematics.
In addition to this, he also has outdoor recess, storytime, nap, lunch, and a free play time where they paint, do crafts and have group activities.
He seems to love it, they keep him very very busy! Lots and lots to do, a lot of it independently, which is good, because boredom (and sharing) always seems to encourage fighting and mischief, doesn't it?
He loves it and is definitely learning a lot! He loves doing his 'work' and he is so much happier hanging out with the kids at school then with baby and I now. This is week 2, so far, so good!
