Rohan's first Halloween, Arrrgh! There be Pirates!

Rohan, was was 6 months, was the cutest little pirate for halloween! :)

I found a fancy pirate greatcoat on sale at Old Navy for only $6.
Fyi, old navy puts costumes on sale the week before halloween.

It was grey flannel with brass buttons, gold braid, and tattered embriodered lace cuffs. The rest of the costume was missing so we improvised!

I put him in a red and white striped onesie he had, for pants under the coat and we bought him a kiddy pirate hat from the costume store.

Since the hat was way too big for him, I popped 2 holes in it and used pantyhose for ties, strechy but not dangerous. He was too too cute!

I sooo wanted to draw a mustache on him, while he was sleeping, but Michael said NO!
He was afraid Rohan would look like the baby from The Adam's Family.
Michael said to me 'Why do you want to make our adorable baby look weird?'
How do I answer that? hehehe

Only thing, we couldn't find in time, was a little stuffed parrot for him to carry around. :)

It was so much fun for us to come up with a creative way to dress him up!
I'm kinda glad we only found a coat!
