Last night, Rohan, as usual, refused to sleep in his crib. He was crying and working himself up into a frenzy.
So I tried a new tactic. I sat on the floor next to the crib and kept him company hoping he would calm down and fall asleep. He immediately stopped screaming, though still crying, and put his hands thru the slats of the crib to touch my hands. He kept wandering around in the crib and then reach out to touch my hand.
Finally he got frustrated with the whole thing, grabbed the top of the crib and got on his knees trying to see me over it. I think he was worried I would leave.
When he couldn't, he put in an amazing effort and hanging on tightly he launched himself to his feet!
Then he started laughing, maybe because I was, and fell down. I called Michael over and we were both standing by the crib.
Rohan, then pulled himself up 4 more times and even took a step toward me.
Wow, the boy is up!
